One beautiful sunny day in South Florida a boy named Joey decides to ride his skateboard on the beach boardwalk. But before leaving his house, his mother asked that he wear his safety gear. Joey being a young kid did not listen to his mother’s advice. He then travels at a fast speed on his skateboard; trips over a rock and lands directly on a Flamingo whose name is Franklin. He injures the flamingo… ..Joey and Franklin after suffering an injury become best friends and now share the importance of wearing safety equipment when riding skateboards. Our goal is to promote safety for children who enjoy riding their bikes, skateboards and mo-pads.
About the Author
Franklin E. Renwick Jr. has had a passion for Leadership since the age of six, which inspired him to subsequently earn a Masters of Science in Human Resources from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from University of Phoenix. Franklin and his wife Cindy have two young energetic children who love reading books. Franklin became inspired to start writing children’s books as he saw a need for stories that inspired Leadership and safety for children. He hopes that these stories encourage parents to be proud of their children’s desire to become Leaders no matter what age the child may be!
